Bendooley Estate Wedding

This was a wedding that was also not a wedding.

Zay and Michael have already been bound, religiously and culturally, for 4 years and together for 6. This almost should have been, in some ways, somewhat of a formality. Less impactful emotionally than it may have been because of circumstance and history.

That could not have been further from the truth.

These two lives intersected one day at university and they quickly became fast friends until it became clear that was not all they were to be. Despite the complicating factors of location and distance and age and culture they gave it a shot because how could they not. And so they ended, or should I say continued, here.

A stunning summer afternoon set amongst the beauty of the southern highlands with just family and select friends in attendance. A relaxed and reverent and wistful few hours celebrating who they are, together and as part of their community.
