These two met at a bar in Bondi after Tess' casual lunch turned into (quite) a few cocktails. That night, Greg walked her home but, given the lateness of the hour and having had a beer or two, forgot to save her number when she gave it to him. Realising his mistake and not wanting to let her slip through his fingers, he hand wrote a letter (..who does that anymore? what a legend) which he dropped in her letterbox a couple of days later, asking her out to dinner and also sneakily adding, had she seen his credit card which he had lost the night they met? She hadn't - funnily enough as it didn't exist and was just a clever way to to ensure a response - but that didn't matter. That was it. One dinner turned to many, and only a few short months later Greg signed a contract to play rugby overseas and they both quickly decided to give the whole long distance thing a shot. A few years, a few contracts (for Greg) and a few career moves (for Tess) later, Tess found herself moving to Glasgow so they could be together, and the rest is history.

They are both kind of people that everyone comments on how warm and welcoming they are,  and Tess in particular has a presence that makes you feel like the most important person in the room. Favourite fact of the day. Greg is a giant of a man - he stands at a little over 6'9 and is a professional rugby player - and when he decided he wanted to propose he got a ring made back home and flew his mum over to Glasgow so they could go on a hike and plan the proposal. Stereotypes be damned.

A few favourite moments to look out for

  • Greg consoling his little sister who was moved to tears as they signed the registry
  • the way Tess' grandpa looks at her grandma outside the church, and then dancing together once the party  kicked off
  • a joy filled confetti exit
  • in general, Tess being a stunner
  • in general, Greg looking dapper as hell
  • Tess getting up to support one of her best friends, Nadia, when she started tearing up during her speech

What a day.

Enjoy
