Stables at Bendooley Wedding

Alex and Jacob

In the ripe old ages of their mid 20s, Alex and Jacob have already known each other for 13 years. Thirteen. Ten and another three thrown in. They have a house and a (well, as of the wedding day) dog, and the beginnings of two successful careers together. They have, unquestionably, impacted who the other has become through the simple act of existing and supporting one another for so long.

They hurtled marriage once before but youth and the question of - what are the odds I found the person for me when I was 12? - meant they took a hiatus. In your early 20s how could you know this was it, really know?

The couple of years inbetween only served to hammer home what they had, really, known all along. That against all odds they had truly found the person meant for them when they were still at an age where most of us are barely finding our literal feet.

How god damn excellent to get a second chance, to maybe even have a more fulfilling and safe and grateful relationship precisely because of that chance - to know what you know have with the perspective of time, and to never want to let it slip out of your grasp again.

Alex, Jacob, their two incredibly close families, and the hordes of friends that bumrushed them for tearful 20 person group hugs as soon as it was all official. Knowing.

Enjoy
