How do you decide on a wedding photographer?
Planning a wedding is a lot of work. I get overwhelmed by restaurant menus that are too large - let alone knowing where to start when looking at the plethora of wedding photographers online.
And so, a helpful rule of thumb.
As promised, my #1 tip when booking wedding vendors - particularly photography and video.
Make sure when you look at their work, you feel something. This might sound trite, but if looking at images or video of complete strangers impacts you emotionally, makes you gasp in awe at the beauty, or simply makes you excited, this feeling will only be infinitely magnified when you are looking at work that highlights your story, your love, your people. You.
If it makes you feel something, that’s a sign. If it doesn't, that’s probably a sign too.

Wedding Photography
Art VS Heart
So many wedding photographs are beautiful - and look like they could have been lifted out of a Vogue spread - but lack heart.
So many wedding photographs are emotive and full of feeling - but lack art.
I believe you should have both. You need both. Art and heart. Beauty and emotion.
You have put so much care and attention into your wedding. The people, the dress, the details. You’ve dreamed of this for a long time. You want to look beautiful. You want to feel beautiful.
But.
Something about nothing but endless portraits and detail shots doesn’t quite speak to you.
They look beautiful, but where is the heart? Where is the soul? Where is the story?
You want something refined but real. Luxury but full of life.
It’s here.
Cinematic wedding photography for those that want something beautiful and real.
Based in Sydney but travelling all over Australia.
Of course I will make you feel beautiful. Of course I will capture all the details you put so much intention and thought and effort towards.
But.
Your people and their beating hearts are the beating heart not just of your wedding day, but of your very lives.
I want you to look at your photos from your wedding and remember and realise all the beauty you have in your lives. For them to be a tangible reminder of all things and people you have to be grateful for.
And for them - and you - to look incredible.
