A boy fancies a girl at his stereotypical teenage workplace, but she doesn't seem to know he exists. Finding himself on his last day before he leaves for good, at a loss and desperate to make contact, he calls a friend in search of advice. Taking what he's given, he walks up to the girl and asks "Hey, do you know where the men's underwear is?", a question to which he already knew the answer.

The workplace was Target, and the two people in question were Madalyne and Kurtis, who from such unassuming beginnings found themselves a few years, workplaces, and experiences later, making vows to one another in the Australian countryside under a stunning winter's sun.

This was a beautiful day in all respects, set in the middle of the Hunter Valley. A few favourite moments to look out for 

  • Madalyne's grandma, going from making everyone toasted sandwiches in the morning to getting down to Get Low late at night

  • Kurtis being moved to tears at his best mans' speech

  • Madalyne's brother seeing her fully dressed and ready to go for the first time

  • a particularly sweet hug from a little girl just after the ceremony

  • he and her sharing a moment alone under some fairy lights at the end of the night
