At some point in the day someone described John’s dancemoves to me as big - and spoiler alert, they are - but I think that word actually describes a lot about him, and Madison for that matter. They both have big hearts, which they wear on their sleeves, are both a bit larger than life and constantly bursting with energy.

They met in high school, when exam marks and formals and awkward teenage parties where still a thing, and now have a house, a dog, the starts of a couple of successful, interesting careers and the beginnings of a life together. People grow and mature into who they are a lot between 18 and your late twenties, and they've done it all side by side, influencing and guiding and supporting one another along the way.

A few moments to look out for

  • Madison and her mum sharing a bunch of quiet, reflective moments together at the start of the day

  • The look on John’s face as he sees Madison for the first time, and as he hugs her father

  • One hell of a recessional

  • ..some big dance moves

  • In general, both Madison and John’s infectious energy all day. Talk about sass.
