palm beach wedding

These two met in high school, when exam marks and formals and awkward teenage parties where still a thing, and now have a beautiful house in the bush overlooking the city, the starts of a couple of successful careers (Ben has his own plumbing business and Laura finished her teaching degree literally a few days before the wedding… talk about kicking goals) and the beginnings of a life together. People grow and mature into who they are a lot between 18 and your late twenties, and they've done it all side by side, influencing and guiding and supporting one another along the way. 

What a freaking cracking Sydney day. The ceremony took place in a park overlooking Pittwater, the sun just dipping down over the hills on the horizon as they were joined in front of those they love. The reception took place at the always stellar Moby Dick’s at Whale Beach.

As always, but this day in particular I was reminded of how freaking lucky I am to call this a career, and to see all these beautifully intimate scenes play out. From Laura making her mom, her brother, two friends (and herself) cry at the start of the day after she gave them all hand written letters, to Ben non-stop cracking jokes to Laura when we went for an adventure, it was a freaking blast.
