harish & cynthia

Athol hall wedding

Sometimes you meet the love of your life on an app, or in a bar, or through a friend. Sometimes you meet em in a dark laundry at a house party, because its the only place to stand as you pass one another in a awkwardly narrow hallway.

Harish & Cynthia, to me, are all about growth. About challenging themselves. About challenging one another. About challenging norms. Early on it seems they made the decision to not hide any of themselves from one another, even the tough bits you arenโ€™t sure are loveable that you keep tucked away from the world. Not just in spite but perhaps because of this they, together, have thrived.

And yet this disregard of convention is offset, perhaps somewhat counterintuitively, by a deep respect for tradition. For family. Cynthia started the day off by praying infront of Hindu icons and images of loved ones who have past on. From the stories that were shared family is clearly of defining importance for each of them.

And so all of that led to all of this. A glorious sunny winters day on a green headland overlooking the city. An explosion of colour. Promises and air-quotes and tears and jokes and dancefloors and kulfi.

 Enjoy
