Gabby and Rick are people to whom relationships and community and family are everything. It even bleeds into what they do - Gabby is an emergency doctor and Rick works in mental health. They care.

And on this day that was brought back to them in spades. It was reflected by the amount of people they decided to surround themselves by all day (the bridal party was 13 strong, not including the two of them, but which did include 3 of Gabby's friends from primary school), by the number of people who travelled halfway across the globe to be there, and by the sheer amount of shared experience in the room. It spoke volumes about who they are, and the love they engender in those they come across.

And so they got married on a quintessential summers day at Gunners Barracks in Mosmon, deciding to see each other before the ceremony to have a few moments to themselves and spend more time with everyone after the ceremony.
