blue mountains elopement
andrea & SEAN

Eleven years led them here.
Eleven years and a chance encounter in a park between a private school girl and a Holden loving boy from the suburbs. They were of a time and age where many of their first conversations took place on msn after school. msn. They quickly started speaking every afternoon, until one day a shy
Neither Andrea nor Sean are showy or ostentatious or prone to grand gestures - more the kind of people to listen rather than speak (particularly Sean). Fittingly, talking to them throughout the day they both mentioned that neither could point to a big moment that solidified them, they simply looked back and realised that they had deepened into one another almost imperceptibly everyday until it was clear they were exactly where they were meant to be - something neither of them expected to fall into so young.
They got engaged at this very out of the way lookout on their 10th anniversary, the air full of smoke and heat as last year's bushfires raged towards the Blue Mountains. This came full circle as on this day the temperature dropped below 5 degrees and winds ripped up the valley. They and their guests embraced the wild weather (also full props to @holymatrimonty to still whipping the crowd into a frenzy despite the weather) and turned what could have been detrimental into something memorable and beautiful in itself.
So, here's to 11 years. To saying f**k all the weather extremes we are going to embrace it and have a glorious time anyway. To dudes obsessed with both vintage Holden's and Ru Paul. To embarrassing MSN status'. To growing together. To seemingly imperceptible but enormous progress. To Andrea, and Sean, and the small and select group of people they chose to share their joy with.
Enjoy
