Coming home.

That is what, to me, it sounded like it felt like when Kaitlin and Al met one other. An immediate sense of comfort, of ease, a beguiling mix of safety and tension. A sense that, huh, so here is that feeling that everyone talks about and dares to hope to find.

When they met they immediately realised that this was something different. Kaitlin called one of her best friends at once with the need to discuss and figure out what to do with these feelings. Less than a year later Al was supposed to move to London to work, something he had been dreaming of for a long time. He delayed a year, and Kaitlin went with him and the deal was done.

So, here’s to knowing. To well timed weddings. To surprise reception performances. To delaying big life changing experiences with other big life changing experiences come along.

To Kaitlin and Al, and to coming home wherever you may be.
