raewyn & adam

The day they made some formal promises, Adam and Raewyn have already been together for over 12 years. Twelve. A decade and another two thrown in for good measure. They met at uni when study sessions and exams and uni parties were still a thing. They have a few differences - he was in the reserves, she’s a creative, he’s laid back but very civic minded, she’s more details oriented, he’s the emotional one, she’s the stoic. It’s clear the intervening years of support and entanglement and the ups and downs of life have caused them to have had a huge mutual impact on one another. These are, most say, some of the most formative years of your life. How could spending that long and loving and supporting and being loved and supported by someone not change you indelibly?
And so it led to this - a glorious sunny Sydney day in the midst of a sea of La Nina drizzle, one where mud and very almost slips down the aisle weren’t going to dampen any spirits. A casual hello and walk around the Opera House to dispel some nerves, the sharing of some promises in the crisp Autumn sun, some impromptu speech karaoke which then descended into a raucous party.
Raewyn is a creative - a graphic designer - and it shows. She designed all the signage and table placeholders and menus herself, and together they crafted a party that won’t soon be forgotten.
Enjoy
