Meagan and Jordan

Sometimes having to work for something makes you realise what you have.

Meagan and Jordan met in a small basement in a small bar in a small Canadian ski town where Jordan was set to do a 6 month ski season. They spent a bit of time together while Meagan was in town visiting her sister, then parted ways, each relishing in the meeting but unsure that anything would come of it given that Meagan lived 7 hours away and Jords was only staying for a few months. They kept in touch and quickly realised that this was something worth pursuing - 14 hour roundtrips for just a couple of days together over a weekend be damned. This isn’t the easiest way to start a relationship, but clearly they both realised it was worth the effort.

6 months in Canada, surprisingly quickly, turned into 5 years, before they both moved to Australia two years ago. They have each clearly found something worth upending their lives for.

And so it led to this - a sunny Sydney day in the midst of unending La Nina drizzle. A final hour repreive as some VIPs were allowed into the country as borders open, some of the most god damn moving vows I’ve heard in an age, and a raucous party to top it all off.
