ALBUM DESIGN
Hey legends
So, you’ve decided to get an album - freaking great decision. I really believe these are the best way to ensure you get the most out of the photos that you put so much effort into getting, and to be able to show your story to future generations and friends for decades to come. I believe in them so much I even go to the effort of getting them produced in the States and shipped over here because they are the best I can find after searching long and hard, and if you are going to invest in one of these you should do it properly.
But I digress.
To get everything done, there’s a few steps.
STEP 1 - SELECT YOUR IMAGES
The albums fit about 90 images give or take, so either I can design it myself and send it to you to proof, or (the most popular option) you can choose some of your favourites (anywhere up to 80) and I can design it around those and add extras to fill in the gaps in the story where necessary. You can simply create a list of favourites in the pixieset gallery you should have which makes it super easy. Most people normally end up choosing around 50 or so, but we can do whatever you feel is best. Either way you get a round of changes to review the layout once I've designed it to make sure you love it.
To make it super easy, you can create a list of your favourites in the pixieset gallery I’ve sent you, which will tell me which images you’ve chosen.
STEP 2 - SELECT YOUR COVER AND EMBOSSING
Personally I quite like the darker fabrics (Black Licorice, Sugar Plum etc) with Copper / Gold / blind embossing but thats completely subjective, the world is your oyster. Black with pink embossing also looks freakin’ great, but isn’t for everyone. Also completely subjective, but I’m not a big fan of any of the Asahi fabrics as the texture is a bit funny, so maybe avoid those. The rest are epic though!

LASTLY - the velvet is a total vibe, but can only be blind embossed.

STEP 3 - SELECT YOUR FONT AND TEXT
Getting their names on the album is what most people do (plus maybe the date in smaller script below), but don’t be afraid to think outside the box. A favourite song lyric, or even a line drawing you both love (don’t be afraid to look for one). We can put literally anything on the cover of these (as long as its just lines), and the more you customise it the more it will be really be yours.
Some popular fonts are below, but I can use anything so if you have a different one you like just let me know. I’ve also had some templates done recently too which you can see below, these can also be done in any cover / font colour combination.
Once you are done, I’ll mock up a couple of cover designs, you can choose the one you like best and we are good to go!
