Not all big romances start with a bang.

These two met in a pub in London while Lucy was on a gap year working in the UK. When they first met sparks did not particularly fly. But soon enough, working alongside one another, hanging out in the same social circles, they both began to notice one another and a click soon became a spark, which soon became much more.

Soon enough they were spending every day together, and when a few months later Lucy had to move back to Australia, Matt decided he had better come with. This seemingly innocuous meeting of two people quickly developed into something worth upending an entire life for.

Only a few short years later they have a house, a couple of rescue dogs, and the beginnings of life together. And so they planned a celebration that reflected the two of them. A quick, hilarious but heartfelt ceremony set in the outrageously beautiful rolling hills outside of Adelaide at Lapito House, followed by good food, good wine and serious amounts of cheer.

And at the end of it all, it quickly descended (…or ascended, depending on your perspective) into a raucous party, complete with roaming mic’s for some dance floor karaoke, seemingly bottomless pet-nat, and an old school Mr Whippy van to soothe everyones well used vocal chords.

A few moments to look out for

  • Lucy’s mates reaction to seeing her in her dress for the first time (which her mum made)

  • Their dogs stealing the show…quite often, and a little dude pretty stoked about it

  • Lots of joyous post-ceremony embraces

  • Some pretty epic singalongs, ands some late night gardening

  • A lot of laughter, a few tears, and Matt getting on a table during the speeches
